In celebration of the radio station sale, and
because of it, Jerry is able once again to tour Europe. In the
middle of the first three-month trip, he spends two weeks painting on
location in southern France as one of a handful of invited guest artists
in the ancient small town of Auvillar, France. There, he paints
outside for the first time since his Taos days of the early 1970's.
Being in southern France, painting in the middle of rolling sunflower
fields and hiking up the steep cobble-stoned street to paint the old
church, is not a place a ten-year-old boy from north Denver ever thought
he would find himself. |
